February 28, 2003, 11am - 12:30pm, Mann Library 2nd floor
Description
For this special Metadata Working Group session we are pleased to commemorate the original workshop for the Initiative which was held in Dublin, Ohio in 1995. Hence the term "Dublin Core" in the name of the Initiative. As many of you know, the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is an organization dedicated to promoting the widespread adoption of interoperable metadata standards and developing specialized metadata vocabularies for describing resources that enable more intelligent information discovery systems.
