Description

Karen Calhoun, Associate University Librarian for Technical Services, will first offer an overview of the changing library in a changing university, followed by a discussion of how metadata and metadata specialists fit into the picture. She will take the position that metadata is of critical strategic importance to the university community's transformation of information into learning and intellectual growth. Following Karen's presentation, we will have an opportunity to discuss the role of metadata in fostering a university learning environment.
