Description
The Metadata Services Department will present an introductory session on metadata. The session would be useful for anyone who is not already familiar with the term, its principles, or its implications. In this forum session, we will have a discussion and a group activity based on the following questions:
- What is metadata?
- How do you "do" metadata?
- How does metadata function in libraries?
- What are the issues and terminologies associated with metadata work?
We hope this session will serve as a foundation for upcoming forum topics this year. We invite anyone interested in learning about metadata and its application to library functions.
